April 2012

Ryan is now 5 months old on April 4th - 2012 - The April shots show some new developments Ryan gets his first tooth on April 10th followed by his 2nd tooth on the 21st - now his two bottom teeth make it a bit more tricky when he wants to bite your finger.   He is spending more time with his activity gym, doing his Tummy time and neck stretching exercises.

Ryan is checking out his Jack in the Box toy - which is actually a bunny head that pops up.  He enjoys his rattle (shown in his hands) mainly to suck on the end as everything he touches goes right into his mouth.  He was clearly teething but made it through without any fevers or overly cranking behavior.

Ryan doing a little last minute shopping in KL before the big move - and ran into Mommy's Rugby Friend - Uncle.   They have matching hairstyles!

The biggest downside to Ryan's teething was his never ending supply of drool - as shown nicely in this shot.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa - Ryan got a new Walker Toy - one of the very few shots with Ryan smiling when in the Walker.   He quickly learned he did not like the feeling of moving around and would absolutely freak out if you put him in the walker - he now loves to use it as a climbing toy and still enjoys the tray of toys but does not like to use it to cruise around.

Ryan with his Syracuse Cap on - SU had a nice run with the Basketball Team this season and Ryan enjoyed showing off his Orange Pride - or rather Daddy enjoyed Ryan showing off for Daddy's Orange Pride!

Ryan pulling the toys down to chew on them -  this shot really shows off his chubby legs - which now 6 months later have leaned down quite a bit.

The next series of shots captures Ryan other new favorite past time - he is becoming much more vocal and enthusiastic with his opinion on all matters.

Step 1. Remove Binky.

Step 2. Open up and say Ah!

Step 3. Open even wider and Yell your Babble!

Step 4. Hold it, Hold it and don't stop.

Step 5. Turn your head and project your Yell to all sides.  Ryan has perfected his Primal Yell.

Ryan is much more mobile on his play mat - he is not yet crawling but he has perfected the stop, drop, and roll technique.   He is a roller and here is stretching out to get Mommy's party globe.

Ryan posing with his new cat.  Grandma Schuster's friend from the Library was so kind to make it for Ryan.

Ok Mommy - I get it - I am bald but do I really need to "Rock" another Skull Bandanna?  Daddy wonders to himself - are Skull Bandanna's the new plaid for today's generation of Parents.

Ryan is now starting to enjoy some Teething biscuits - not just formula anymore - baby food is coming.

You had to be here to appreciate this photo - Ryan has a habit of making some interesting grunts when he is pushing - which is Daddy's cue to run some errands before Mommy smells what happened.   Daddy was soon out the door after snapping this photo - the key here is make sure to bring Mommy a treat from the store!

Wow - a different type of teething biscuit - Daddy found the type during one of those urgent errand run to the store - along with some Haagan-dazs for Mommy!

Mommy modeling the new Ryan transporter pouch - she is practicing for the trip to Korea.  Ryan seems to like it.  But not sure about Mommy's back liking it as much.

Ryan get his first few tastes of Baby Food - sweet potatoes - he seems to be happy to have more than just a bottle.
Ryan's face says it all - he is not so happy to be in the Walker - we are glad that he is now finally getting some use out of it.
