May 2012 - a Big Month for the Schuster Family as we say goodbye to Malaysia and Hello to Korea. Ryan will miss spending time with Grandma and Grandpa - life brings new opportunities and as much as we will miss our friends and family in Malaysia - we welcome the opportunity to meet new friends in Seoul.
Grandma spending as much time with Ryan before the big move.
Ryan is becoming very interested in trying all the Big People food when we are out to eat. In this case, he had his first taste of Lemon.
Ryan stealing the show at a nice going away lunch at Daddy's office.
Uncle Ragesh stopping by the Apartment the day of the Big Move - Ryan will miss him.
Ryan getting a good night's sleep at the Airport Hotel - tomorrow will bring his first flight on an Airplane. Luckily it will be a red eye flight to Seoul - so we are hopeful we will spend most of it sleeping.
The night of the big send off. Ryan was taking it all in - he had a nice bath - got into his comfy PJ's and was happy to be out for a late night walk.
Ryan in the gate area waiting to board his first flight - now 6 months old.
At only 6 months - Ryan was at the maximum allowable size for the bulk head baby bassinet. He was perfect on this flight - he had a bottle and was off into dreamland for almost the entire time - he did not cry even once and gave Mommy and Daddy hope for the big flight to the US coming up in the Summer.
Mommy catching a quick shot before the descent - Ryan and Daddy enjoying a snooze.
A success - touchdown in Seoul a busy month ahead but Ryan is taking it all in stride.
Ryan breaking in the new bed at our Temporary housing. He was having a great time.
The May temperatures in Seoul were comfortable but much cooler in the evening than KL. Ryan busting out his Cuse PJ's but notice his bright red rosey cheeks as well - resulting from the cooler temps of his evening walk.
Ryan and Mommy checking out the new Neighborhood eateries.
Ryan out on the weekend for some grocery shopping.
Ryan stopping off with Daddy for an afternoon cocktail.
Look what Mommy found in Aisle 5 - a happy, content and sleeping little Ryan.
Ryan taking part in the local street fare - a corn puff type treat.
Ryan making friends with some other new arrivals to Seoul - to bad that they were heading home by the end of May.
Mommy showing off her new socks.
Ryan showing off his sweet potato Fu Man Chu - as long as he get's 50% of the jar we are happy!
Ryan wearing his food in style.
Mommy caught Ryan in a candid pose - Daddy liked it because it reminded him of George posing for Kramer.
Ryan unfortunately got a bit of stomach bug shortly after arriving - maybe it was the corn puff. He managed through just fine but it gave us the chance to make use of the Medical Care facilities in Seoul. It was a much different experience than what we experienced in KL - but after getting through the translation issues we were able to get Ryan some medicine that helped. We were lucky to have the support of some local Koreans who recommended the medical facilities.
Ryan again showing one of his new skills - drinking from a straw - he is constantly wanting to try everything that Mommy and Daddy have - his bottles and baby food are not enough anymore. He loves being out and about exploring the new sights and sounds of Seoul.
Ryan chilling out in his new ride - a much easier Umbrella Stroller to haul around. Ryan is proving to be the main attraction in Seoul when we are walking through the different hot spots. He is constantly approached by many locals who all want to take his photo - they love his big brown eyes. He loves the attention.
Ryan is now beginning to crawl around on his belly - he does not lift himself up to his knees yet - but is always on the move. He likes this new freedom and is keeping Mommy and Daddy on their toes. A big month in May - saw us relocate to Korea - we found a new Apartment to live and are looking forward to getting out of the Temporary housing - getting our goods arrive from Malaysia and moving into the new place - then it will start to feel like home. All along Ryan continues to be our little Pride and Joy and we are looking forward to the new milestones ahead. We also miss our family and friends back in KL and will be planning our first Family Trip to the States in the near future.
